Story
Raju (Manoj Kumar Manchu) is a wayward youth who is in deeply love with a college English teacher Sunny (Sunny Leone) in a village called Parvathipuram. Sivarama Raju (Jagapati Babu) is a noted good Samaritan in the same village and he takes a vow that he will marry off his daughters to the grooms of his choice (neither love marriage nor elopement). Kavitha (Rakul Preet Singh) is his 3rd daughter and also a student of Sunny. As the things proceed, Raju and Kavitha fall in love. Rest of the story is all about what happens when they want to get married.

Artists Performance
Manoj Kumar Manchu: Manoj Manchu is known for mischief and fun-loving attitude in his real life and the director has written the characterization in such a way that Manoj’s personal traits are brought on to the screen. His comedy timing is perfect and self-composed action sequences are superb. His expressions when Sunny Leone meets her life partner are hilarious. I loved the way he read the disclosures in the movie (no smoking stuff). He has put on lot of muscles for this film, but would have been nice if he is trimmer.

Jagapati Babu has done a role that has both comedy and stupidity in it. He is very good. Rakul Preet Singh is very glamorous in this movie. This is probably her best film in characterization and looks. Rakul Preet Singh is on a roll with three consecutive hits (Venkatadri Express and Loukyam being the first two ones). Casting Sunny Leone as a sexy looking school teacher with good ethics is a good decision and worked in favor of the movie. She is nice. Sampoornesh Babu did one-scene cameo and he is hilarious. Vennela Kishore is good as hero’s buddy. Prithvi is pretty good as a mature bachelor whose marriage keeps getting cancelled. Siva Reddy and Jyothy played role of archestra singers and selection of songs for these singers is very funny. Tanikella Bharani is good as a single parent of hero..

Technical departments
This film is an official remake of 2013 Tamil film titled ‘Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam’. It’s a village story. Director G Nageswara Reddy who is known for making comedy oriented films has dealt the script handsomely and delivered an interesting content. It’s pretty difficult to handle rural subject/emotions in a mass film and make it appeal. Nageswara Reddy managed to convince mainly due to good casting and entertainment quotient.

Songs scored by Achu Rajamani are good and are aided by colorful picturization. Background score is good. The music written for Manoj - Sunny combination scenes remind us of European film music (Malena etc). Action sequences directed by Manoj Manchu make an impact. The visuals are colorful - thanks to the combined efforts of cinematographer, art director, visual effects and digital intermediate. Cinematography by Satish Muthyala is vibrant. Dialogues by Kishore Tirumala are good. Art direction is nice and editing by SR Shekar is fine. Post production work is seamless. Production values by 24 Frames Factory are excellent.

Analysis
The technology has brought a lot of changes to people and entertainment media. Attempting a village based subject is a risk these days. The unit of Current Theega has taken that risk and delivered it as a well-packaged film. Manoj Manchu delivers his best in this movie. On a whole. Current Theega is a colorful village entertainer that has something for everybody. You may watch it!
